Steel Angel Kurumi...
I took the opportunity to watch Steel Angel Kurumi...
Steel Angel Kurumi is fairly conventional as far as super-powered, sexy robot shows go. At 15 minutes each, the episodes are very short. There is some fan service and a lot of suggestive situations, but, Steel Angel Kurami was not really a lot fun to watch. This series is reminiscent of Buttobi CPU, but, not as overtly H as Buttobi CPU. I lost interest in Steel Angel Kurumi fairly quickly and never bothered to continue beyond the first DVD volume. I gave Steel Angel Kurumi a 1 out of 5.
Series OneI picked up the first volume Steel Angel Kurumi a while ago. Steel Angel Kurumi centers around Nakahito, who inadvertently awakens the Steel Angel created by Dr. Ayankoji. Kurumi calls Nakahito her master and will accept orders only from him. Kurumi is also an extraordinarily powerful robot sought by the military. Nakahito and Kurumi, Dr. Ayankoji and Nakahito's older brother Kamihito, find themselves drawn into a convoluted plot involving an army general, spies, and more Steel Angels.
Volume 1
Angel on My Shoulder
Steel Angel Kurumi was the most powerful creation ever invented. Designed by a brilliant mind, using otherworldly technology, bred for military use, the Steel Angel's intent was as revolutionary as it was mysterious. But when a young boy accidentally awakens the Steel Angel Kurumi, he becomes her Master and science and strategy are thrown a curve. Now this multi-million dollar soldier is taking orders from a boy - and other forces are not happy about it. So Kurumi and her young master must seek out a secret lab and discover dangerous answers. Namely, why was Kurumi created in the first place? What is her true purpose? And why is a mysterious organization activating other beautiful, seductive, and powerful Steel Angels to destroy her? Steel Angel Kurumi features breathtaking animation from acclaimed studio O.L.M.
Volume 2
The Trouble with Angels
She's beautiful, powerful, passionate, and too dangerous to exist. She is the Steel Angel Kurumi-and she's marked for termination. Her enemy? The Academy, a floating fortress of mystery and military might. Their weapons? Powerful androids as lethal as they are lovely. Can Kurumi and her friends reach her creator's secret lab without being detected by the Academy assassins? Or will her Steel Angel siblings succeed in ripping out her Mark II Heart that makes Kurumi so dangerous? With gorgeously animated visuals, in-your-face fight scenes, and a tense, twisty plot, The Trouble With Angels picks up where the smash hit Angel on My Shoulder left off.
Volume 3
Where Angels Fear to Tread
The Academy has sent its deadliest assassin to destroy her fellow Steel Angel, Kurumi. Using Kurumi's friend Saki as bait, the ruthless Karinka sets a trap to finally rip out Kurumi's powerful Mark II Heart from her chest. But Kurumi's Heart has a dark force within that Karinka didn't count on. A force that frightens Kurumi's young master and Kurumi herself. So the Academy is forced to take even more drastic measures - namely, a mysterious stranger who tries to persuade Kurumi's master to use his mystical power to stop Kurumi before her dark energy overtakes her.
Rich animation. A sinuous sci-fi plot. Unforgettable characters. Sexy, funny, thrilling-Steel Angel Kurumi is an animated adventure like no other. From the heavenly beauty of the Steel Angels (and the actresses who give them voice) to the hot-as-hell action sequences, the third installment of Steel Angel Kurumi will take you places you've never been but always wanted to go. Are you ready?
