Murder Princess...
Sometime ago, when video stores still stalked the streets of Philadelphia, I picked up Murder Princess...
While there are no naughty bits, there is a slightly yuri vibe between the two main characters, specifically in the early episodes. Some shortcuts were taken in the animation, particularly in the crowd scenes where, more often than not, the crowds are simply still images over which the camera pans. But, despite the noticeably cheap animation, the core of the story still manages to shine through. There is some violence, bloodshed and gore. Most of the bloodshed is in the form of slicing and dicing, but, there is also the occasional smashed body.
Murder Princess has some technical flaws, but, was fast-paced and very entertaining. I saw the entire series in one sitting. It wasn't too hard since there are only six episodes. I was particularly fond of the secondary characters, Pete and Dominikov. Early on, there is some humor at the expense of Falis, but, as the series progresses, the tone becomes a bit darker and Falis comes into her own as the heroine of the series. Overall, I would give Murder Princess a 4 out of 5.
In the kingdom of Forland - the stronghold of an ancient and powerful magic - a bloody coup led by Dr. Akamashi and his supernatural cyborg minions pushes the royal family to the brink of extinction. Forced to flee in the hopes of preserving her noble bloodline, Princess Alita crosses paths with the infamous bounty hunter Falis - a collision of souls that will alter the course of their lives forever.Recently, I took the opportunity to watch Murder Princess... It should be noted that the series, at six episodes, is fairly short. After Alita and Falis bump into each other and fall off a cliff together, they manage to survive, but, are changed. After the change, the two main characters strike a bargain and at Alita's request, Falis intervenes on behalf of the kingdom. After some initial challenges with the evil doctor, Alita's brother shows up to save the day. Then, things go from bad to worse.
