Gunslinger Girl...

I watched Gunslinger Girl...
In Gunslinger Girl, the Social Welfare Agency is a government sponsored corporation that's on the fringe of technology. They give terminal patients another shot at life using cybernetic implants, shaping the patients into efficient machines for handling the government's dirty work. Having survived the brutal slaughter of her family, Henrietta awakens to her new life at the Agency with a re-built body and no memory of the past.
We've got girls, guns and violence. The series starts out with a bang when Henrietta almost single-handedly takes out a room full of bad guys. Unfortunately, she wasn't actually supposed to, or, at least not without instructions. The series has a clean, well-polished appearance. The action sequences are very well executed. Sometimes, the callousness with which the characters commit violence can be a bit disturbing. There is, of course, some gore in the series. There are no naughty bits to speak of. Overall, I was pleased with the series. I gave Gunslinger Girl a 3 out 5.
