A while back, I picked up Sorcerer on the Rocks aka Chivas 1-2-3...
Sorcerer on the Rocks aka Chivas 1-2-3 has some humor and fan service, but, overall, this is a somewhat mediocre example of the sword and sorcery genre. I gave Sorcerer on the Rocks aka Chivas 1-2-3 a 2 out of 5.
According to Anime On DVD...It's Shibas' job to rid his kingdom of powerful sorcerers and demonic monsters - for a price of course! In short, Shibas is a bounty hunter a very well paid bounty hunter! Although he may be debauched, debased and a real bastard at times, his services don't come cheap. He's that good! So good, that when a local nasty needs a powerful sorcerer to serve as a sacrifice, the "honor" goes to Shibas. It's just his bad luck that Shibas has no intention of cooperating...
AD Vision has confirmed that Satoru Akihori's 2 episode fantasy/adventure/comedy Chivas 1-2-3 will debut in the US by the end of the year under the title "Sorcerer on the Rocks." The original Japanese title cannot be retained for legal reasons related to the alcohol brand name "Chivas." Janice Williams of ADV Films has announced that Shivas Scotch will be played by Jay Hickman; Gin Fizz - Monica Rial; Kiss - Hilary Haag; Genmi - Brett Weaver; Meru and Teru - Kira; Million Dollar - Emily Carter.
