Don't Leave Me Alone Daisy is quite a strange release and that is what initially attracted my interest...
I was hoping to have a bit more fun with Don't Leave Me Alone Daisy than I did. The series combines obsessive stalking and subjects Hitomi aka Daisy to all manner of comedic mishaps. While, Don't Leave Me Alone Daisy is a very odd concept, it just didn't capture my interest. In the aftermath of the Ultimate Otaku Fall Cleanup, I decided not to keep it in my archive. I gave Don't Leave Me Alone Daisy a 2 out of 5.
Surrounded only by his inventions, Techno doesn't really interact with other people much. However, one day, a girl attempts to "break into" his fortress. This hapless passerby, a girl named Hitomi, becomes the object of his affection. Techno decides to name her "Daisy," and begins planning to make her his, but can Annie and Yamakawa X protect Hitomi or will the science nerd Techno win Hitomi's heart? Don't leave me Alone Daisy promises outrageous adventures and non-stop laughs.
Volume 1
Love is Strange
Nerdy genius Techno is enraged that someone is encroaching on his property - until he sees her face and falls hopelessly in love. Pity poor Hitomi! Techno renames her Daisy and decides to make her his own, but Hitomi doesn't want anything to do with him. Techno decides to pursue her, no matter what it takes, including replacing their school teacher with a robot and commandeering a class trip!
Volume 2
Poolside Panic!
Techno continues to try and win the heart of his beautiful flower, Daisy. This time out, his attempts include the use of heavy arrangements, giant Godzilla-like monsters, and a large array of other things that most people wouldn't consider romantic. Does Techno have any chance at all of capturing the fair Daisy's heart?
Volume 3
Love is a Battle Field
Techno never gives up! He's got a new set of plans, and this time he's sure he'll win Daisy's heart. Is science the way to conquer love? Can he win with the help of a cyborg? All's fair in love and war!
Volume 4
Love and Rockets
Techno continues his overzealous attempts to make Daisy his. What will he come up with this time? More mechanized minions? Another kidnapping? Love knows no bounds.
Volume 5
Love Scenes
Techno's still after Daisy, and by this time there have been some interesting developments. After a wide variety of robot messengers, traps, and other devices, could Techno finally be on his way to winning her love? Nah...
Volume 6
Friends and Lovers
In the final volume of the series, Techno does his best to win Hitomi's heart. This is the final chance he has to get it right. Can he do it? Will the series end with a "Happily Ever After", or will Techno's bizarre devices and schemes drive Hitomi away from him forever?
