Eromanga Sensei...

My travels into the world of streaming anime continue with Eromanga Sensei...
From the author of Oreimo comes a slapstick comedy about a novelist big brother and his illustrator younger sister along with a cast of charming characters!

Masamune Izumi is a high school student who professionally writes light novels. Sagiri Izumi is a shut-in who never leaves her room. One year ago, they became siblings when their parents married one another.

However, one day, Masamune discovers a shocking twist -- the artist "Eromanga Sensei," who has been drawing illustrations for his novels, is none other than Sagiri. His cute little shut-in of a sister, who has been living under his roof, is using an obscene pen name and drawing lewd illustrations. But there’s no way his little sister could be this dirty?!
In Eromanga Sensei, we follow the misadventures of writer and illustrator Masamune and Sagiri as they explore awkward situations in the world of adult publishing and in their everyday lives. While Sagiri tries to remain a home-bound shut-in, Masamune fends off rival authors and nosy school classmates and generally tries to keep his sister's secret life a secret. The dialogue and situations can be risque, at times, and is certainly not intended for the youngest anime fans among us, but, there are no actual naughty bits.

Of course, the sibling romance aspect of Eromanga Sensei puts this otherwise mundane situation comedy in a whole new category. It goes without saying that fan service abounds throughout the series. It's a show that many anime fans either love or hate. While I didn't hate the show, I was really hoping that Eromanga Sensei was going to be a bit more entertaining and fun to watch than it actually was. Overall, this series just wasn't for me. I gave Eromanga Sensei a 2 out of 5.
