Pandora In The Crimson Shell Ghost Urn...
A while ago, I had the opportunity to see Pandora In The Crimson Shell Ghost Urn...
Clarion is equipped with a Pandora Device that allows Nene to temporarily acquire extraordinary abilities and transform her appearance. After Uzal manages to cause a lot of trouble and conveniently disappears when the authorities arrive, Nene and Clarion continue on their journey to world peace. As it happens, Nene's aunt is also a mad scientist. So, we have two mad scientists who, not unsurprisingly, don't get along with each other and two full-body cyborgs. Hilarity and misadventures ensue.
Pandora In The Crimson Shell Ghost Urn is a sweet and somewhat absurd comedic look at the future. There is some mild fan service and some full-frontal cyborg nudity, but, there are no naughty bits. There is likewise, no bloodshed or gore to speak of. Shades of Ghost In The Shell abound in the design of cyborgs, robots, and, of course, the round displays so prominently featured throughout the Ghost In The Shell TV series. Overall, Pandora In The Crimson Shell Ghost Urn was very entertaining and a treat to watch. I gave Pandora In The Crimson Shell Ghost Urn a 3 out of 5.
From Shirow Masamune, the creator of Ghost in the Shell, comes a lighthearted story of two cyborg girls who fight to save their home. Nene Nanakorobi is your typical girl next door except for that fact that she's a rare type of full-body cyborg. She's thrilled to finally meet another cyborg named Clarion and hopes they'll be best friends. This is the beginning of their adventures together.Set in a world, not too different from that of Ghost In The Shell, but, decidedly less gritty and less politically charged, Pandora In The Crimson Shell Ghost Urn follows the exploits of Nene, a full-body cyborg, as she explores the world and tries to make the world a better place one day and one act of kindness at a time. Nene happens to cross paths with Uzal and her full-body, cat-eared cyborg, companion, Clarion, and chaos ensues as Uzal is a mad-scientist type along the lines of Washu, from Tenchi Muyo. Although, Uzal is not inherently evil, trouble does seem to know where she lives.
