Saga Of Tanya The Evil...

I've seen Saga Of Tanya The Evil multiple times already...
A little girl with blonde hair, blue eyes, and porcelain skin fights on the front lines of a brutal war set in a fantasy world. What others don't know is that she's a reincarnated Japanese office worker who, in his former life, had a ruthless desire to climb the corporate ladder in hopes of retiring to a cushy corner office.
In Saga Of Tanya The Evil, after dying at the hands of a disgruntled office worker, our anti-hero, now called Tanya, finds himself in a new pint-sized female body. The series is set in a parallel world at a period in time about a century before our own time and in a world where there is a fusion of technology and magic. Following a magical assessment, Tanya discovers that she has an aptitude for magic and enrolls in the military where magic use in commonplace and where opportunities for advancement into a cushy middle-management position abound.

Tanya would like nothing better than to settle into a nice quiet desk job, but, the deity that brought her to this new world in the first place, as punishment, has no intention of allowing Tanya the luxury of resting on her laurels. With parallels in our own world's foray into global conflicts in the first and second World Wars, Tanya, foretells of an upcoming global conflict in this new world. Her superiors take notice and Tanya quickly rises through the ranks to lead a dedicated band of soldiers in numerous battles.

Tanya demonstrates early on, that she is ruthless and uncompromising, when she is training a junior soldier and finds that the soldier isn't taking the training seriously, she detonates an explosive to demand the soldier's undivided attention and comes very close to killing that same soldier before other officers intervene. Later in Tanya's career, when two soldiers disobey her orders, she has them reassigned to a fortified gun emplacement where the soldiers think they'll be safe. Meanwhile, Tanya knows all too well, that these soldiers will certainly die at the hands of the enemy because they happen to be sitting at a strategic location. It's incidents like these, that inspire fear and awe in both enemies and allies alike.

Of course, the more Tanya succeeds, the more the deity that stands against her, turns up the heat. The series quickly builds to a wonderful climax as a dispute between two nations, becomes are larger-scale regional conflict involving a number of neighboring nations and finally escalates into an all-out global war with Tanya right smack in the middle of the conflict. Unfortunately, the series ends rather abruptly, at that point. Since, the series is about war and conflict, one should expect a certain amount of red ink. There are no naughty bits to speak of. Overall, even with the cliff-hanger ending, I was thrilled with the adventures of one of my favorite pint-sized psychopaths. I would give the Saga Of Tanya The Evil a 5 out of 5.

After some poking around, YouTube, came through, yet again, with a sneak peek at the upcoming Saga Of Tanya The Evil movie...
