Select episodes from the 42-episode Space Pirate Captain Harlock TV series... The four episodes on tape were dubbed by ZIV International in the early '80s as promotional samples for marketing the series to American TV syndicates. There was no sale, and no other episodes were dubbed. For some unfathomable reason, the alien Mazone race gets a name change to "Zeton"... Released in North America through Malibu Graphics.
There have been a number of different flavors of Captain Harlock floating about over the years and admittedly, there are, very likely, better examples of the Captain Harlock saga to choose from. The version indicated here is part of the Captain Harlock TV series circa 1978. I gave this example of the Captain Harlock saga a 1 out of 5. In the aftermath of the Ultimate Otaku Fall Cleanup, I decided not to keep it in my archive.
