Divergence Eve...

Sadly, Divergence Eve just wasn't for me. Cheesy CG effects abound as humans battle wave after wave of "Ghouls".
Volume 1
Welcome to the Watcher's Nest
Directed by Hiroshi Negishi (Tenchi Universe, Burn Up W), this futuristic high-flying epic is brimming with intense space battles, high-tech fighting robots, and babes who more than fill out their skimpy military uniforms.

In the 24th Century, intergalactic space travel has become a reality. One of the first outposts in the far reaches of space is the Watcher's Nest, a launching point for the brand new state-of-the-art inflation hole drive portal. Unfortunately, the outpost has recently come under attack by a mysterious and vicious alien force known simply as the Ghoul. A group of young hard-headed (and hard-bodied) female cadets with fresh out of boot camp have been assigned to defend the station at all costs. This bevy of beauties is unexpectedly thrown into a hornet's nest of trouble as they finalize their training to become elite pilots in the Seraphim squadron.

Masaki Kureha comes to Watcher's Nest wondering if she has the skills to succeed in Seraphim. Built like a highboy with the top drawer open and delivering jiggle shots to the delight of fanboys everywhere, her future is assured!

Volume 2
Core Mission
What more could you ask for than a bevy of beauties forced to put their lives on the line to answer the call of duty.

Divergence Eve is a bold and imaginative voyage leading directly into the heart of evil. A dark tale enlivened by a shocking mystery, which will have you guessing until the final fade out.

Volume 3
The Beginning of the End
Seraphim must choose who amongst them can fight the final battle. When the price of losing is certain death, only the bravest dare to venture out on sorties. As Misaki battles with ghosts from her past, she must watch as Ghouls violate and annihilate her closest friends.

She must choose between destroying herself, or allowing the Watcher's Nest to be the victim of certain destruction. But someone is about to unlock Misaki's secret... someone who will surely use her power for evil.
It is interesting to note that ALL of the women have exactly the same size breasts and that their breasts are quite conveniently extra large and extra bouncy. Also, when they need extra power, their clothes just have to come off. Despite the gratuitous fan service, Divergence Eve isn't really one of *those* shows. Occasionally, I'll pick up multiple volumes of a series "sight unseen". Such is the case with Divergence Eve. I have the second volume of the series and it's still unopened. Perhaps, someday, I'll pick up the third volume just to complete the series. Or, maybe not. I gave Divergence Eve a 1 out of 5.
