Angel's Anime Rating Guide

This post is a bit off-topic, but, I felt I should share. Recently, I got an iRobot to clean the living room (Thanks! Tony). The kitties, Daisy and Chris, eyed the robot with suspicion, but, the robot was surprisingly quiet, so, the kitties were not as upset with the robot as they would have been with the vacuum cleaner. The robot crisscrossed the living room and ricocheted off the furniture in a mysterious pattern, but, somehow managed to do a very good job cleaning the living room. To keep the robot from wandering off into the kitchen, I placed a broom stick in front of the kitchen door as a barrier. Sure, I could have used a virtual wall, but, the broom stick was free and no batteries required.

Recently, I took the opportunity to watch Wakaba Girl ... Even though her ridiculously wealthy family tries to give her everything, it's not until the sheltered Wakaba Kohashi fails to get into an upscale school that she finds what she really needed: a group of friends who want to know the real her, and not her status. Her new school mates may not be up to date on haute couture, but Wakaba is enthralled by their knowledge about the outside world, including the flashy "gyaru" fashion. Soon, Wakaba is helping (or TRYING to help) her newfound friends with their newfound high school girl problems. From helping innocent Moeko though gymnastics, standing in for Nao in a beauty contest, and inadvertently helping Mao act like a rich girl, to simply enjoying the joys of girl talk and sharing ice cream, there's a whole new world of everyday wonders waiting to be discovered in WAKABA*GIRL!

Today, Sammy and I went to the Wizard World Comic Con in Philadelphia . Highlights of this year's Comic Con in Philadelphia include: Elijah Wood and Billy Boyd, LORD OF THE RINGS, Henry Winkler, HAPPY DAYS, Natalie Dormer, GAME OF THRONES, Stephen Amell, ARROW There were, of course, many, many other people of note in attendance and a whole list of panels and other events included in the cost of admission and a great many paid events that we could go to if that was the sort of thing we wanted to do.

No Game No Life seemed like something I might enjoy... On the internet, they're legends: the tag-team duo known as BLANK, famed for their incredible game-playing skills. In the real world, however, the lives of 18 year old Sora and his 11 year old stepsister Shiro have been spiraling out of control. Now existing as shut-ins, they rarely leave their house and are unable to be separated without suffering panic attacks. Games, for them, are the safest retreat from reality. Until they win a chess match against a mysterious opponent known as Tet and find themselves pulled into a game bigger than any they could have ever imagined. Now, in a world where the outcome of games determines the fates of both civilizations and species, they must defend Humanity in the ultimate challenge, vying against a host of otherworldly competitors for the right to rule them all! But if they fail, it means slavery or destruction for all mankind. No pressure, of course! Can two misfits who can barely han...

I wasn't sure what to make of Welcome To The Space Show , but, it called for me to take it home, so, I did... With an intergalactic cast of thousands, Koji Masunari's colorfully explosive debut feature sets a new high for visual spectacle and sheer inventiveness of character design. It seems like just another lazy summer is in store for Amane and her older cousin Natsuki. Lolling about the Japanese countryside, the days are blithe and boundless. Before long, Pochi has whisked the kids away to a space colony on the dark side of the moon, an interstellar melting pot with a non-stop parade of humorous alien creatures, jellyfish spaceships and dragon trains, marking the beginning of a glorious and wondrous adventure.

Sands Of Destruction spoke to me and said "buy me", so I did... Morte is a lonely beauty with an axe to grind and a grudge against the world. I was looking for an image to represent a post on Contempo in a Two-Column Format and I didn't realized the significance of my choice until I happened to watch Danganronpa ... Season 1 Hope's Peak High School only accepts the best of the best, and these superlative students will have to add slaughter to their schedules if they hope to leave the school in something other than a body bag. Beat! Stab! Crush!
