Cowboy Bebop...

Years ago, I picked up the VHS version of Cowboy Bebop ... Session 1 The year 2071 A.D. That future is now. Driven out of their terrestrial Eden, humanity chose the stars as the final frontier. With the section-by-section collapse of the former nations a mixed jumble of races and peoples came. They spread to the stars, taking with them the now confused concepts of freedom, violence, illegality and love, where new rules and a new generation of outlaws came into being. People referred to them as Cowboy Bebops...  Meet Spike and Jet, a drifter and a retired cyborg cop who have started a bounty hunting operation. In the converted ship The Bebop, Spike and Jet search the galaxy for criminals with bounties on their heads. They meet a lot of unusual characters, including the unusually intelligent dog, Ein, and the voluptuous and vexing femme fatale, Faye Valentine. See why Cowboy Bebop was Japan's best-selling anime title in 1998. Session 2 Spike and Vicious conclude their reunion w

Geobreeders...

Image
At a time when video tapes still stalked the Earth, I picked up the VHS version of Geobreeders ... The brave men and women of Kagura Total Security work around the clock to rid the world of its most troublesome pests - phantoms! Their only weapons: their wits, the most advanced computer technology, and ... REALLY BIG GUNS! Okay, so they're a bunch of trigger-happy lunatics. But when a young friend gets kidnapped by a mysterious enemy, the Kagura team is her only hope. Boy, is she in trouble. Geobreeders was directed by Yuji Moriyama (director of 801 T.T.S. Airbats and Project A-ko 2-4, animation director of Macross Plus, The Wings of Honneamise and Project A-Ko). We've got girls with big guns, no gore or naughty bits and a good story with lots of humor. I used to have the subtitled VHS version. i enjoyed this title enough that I repurchased it on DVD. I gave Geobreeders a 3 out of 5. The Geobreeders soundtrack CD has 38 tracks and I liked 2 tracks for a total of 5.2%

Hand Maid May...

Way back in the misty down of time, I picked up Hand Maid May ... Volume 1 Maid To Order Nanbara is furious! Nanbara, the self-absorbed, pompous, overbearing villain of our show has always resented Kazuya, the constantly distracted hero, and developed a virus to exact his ultimate revenge. Unfortunately, "revenge" became an accidental delivery of a 1-foot tall cyborg maid whose sweetness is only exceeded by her cheerfulness! Will Nanbara's schemes of revenge ever become realized? Will Kazuya be able to pay the $1,450,009 bill? Join May and our new cast of lunatics for a wild ride to explore the cutting edge of computer peripherals. Volume 2 Product Recall Cyberdyne pursues May's recall due to Kazuya's failure to pay the million-dollar invoice. However, thanks to Kasumi's kindness, Kazuya and May share some wonderful last-minute memories. Still, with Nanbara "assisting" Cyberdyne and the introduction of the mysterious Cyber-X, Kazuya's li

Pet Shop Of Horrors...

Image
A while back, I picked up  Pet Shop Of Horrors ... Based on the hit manga by Mori Akino, Pet Shop of Horrors comes to life in animation. Welcome to Chinatown's most unique pet shop. There is a variety of exotic creatures to choose from, each with an intriguing tale to share with the lucky owner. But be careful, what you see is not necessarily what you get. Here is a collection of four stories of lost love, second chances, and redemption. Whether or not the client can handle the responsibility, however, is a matter of life and death. Daughter "Daughter" is a nightmarish tale of parents who killed their daughter with too much love. In an attempt to alleviate their sorrow, they approach Count D, who agrees to sell them a rare breed of rabbit which just happens to look like the couple's dead progeny. There are strict rules that must he followed in caring for the rabbit, and the consequences for indulging the little creature are deadly. Delicious Mermaids can he je
