Rail Wars...

Image
Rail Wars spoke to me and said "Buy Me", so I did... All train fanatic Naoto Takayama has ever dreamed of is becoming an engineer, but when he finally makes the grade and scores a trainee position with the JNR, his ambitions are totally derailed. Now, instead of the big front cab of his dreams, Naoto's stuck in the security division working with a squad of gorgeous girls and escorting pretty idol singers. Oh, what a nightmare! Okay, so there are the occasional bomb threats, thieves, and members of the rogue railway privatization group RJ to deal with, but that's what trigger-happy harpy Aoi and Sho, the squad's only other male member, are for. And if Naoto's one-track mind could just see the light at the end of the tunnel, he might realize that he's already on an express train to paradise with multiple lovely cabooses. Will getting railroaded take on a whole new meaning? Find out as everyone gets off on the wrong side of the tracks in Rail Wars! In R

Pink Lemonade...

Image
This post concerns  Pink Lemonade , an animation project that had been in production for many years. Sadly, it appears that after years of inactivity, it may be time to acknowledge that the project is pretty much dead... sniff... sniff... ☹️ To be clear, I'm NOT in charge of this project or associated with the production in ANY way, but, I am a fan of the work of White Radish , and lately, I've been curious about the project. In case you were wondering, Pink Lemonade was described by White Radish as... Pink Lemonade [an] upcoming 6-episode OVA series involves four girls in a complex diamond of love/hate/desire set in a galaxy far, far away, where cyberpunk action and comic relief balance with character development and pathos, and at least one "H" scene in every episode! By the way,  White Radish  did release a music CD featuring Vanilla Almond Creme , which composed the music for some of White Radish 's productions. At one time, I had a link to the Vanill

TO (Elliptical Orbit and Symbiotic Planet)...

Image
Sometime ago, I saw previews for TO  and it looked really impressive… Elliptical Orbit Fifteen years after its last contact with our world, a space freighter known as the Flying Dutchman requests permission to dock at a remote moon base. This mysterious ship carries liquid protons: a power source essential to the survival of Earth's population. But before the precious cargo can be delivered, the base is ambushed by galactic terrorists who seek to destroy the new form of energy and issue a death sentence to all of humanity. Symbiotic Planet Against a backdrop of peculiar alien life forms, Aon and Elena - star-crossed lovers from rival countries - struggle to build a life together despite the objections of their superiors. Their budding romance is thwarted by an outbreak of potent alien fungus and the interference of a cutthroat militaristic madman. To survive, the young couple must maintain their faith in each other... and learn to trust the unique creatures which inhabit this

To Love Ru...

Image
To Love Ru , on its face, bears a passing resemblance to the beloved classic, Urusei Yatsura . So, of course, I had to see if the new alien on the block, Lala, compares favorably, or not, to Lum... Season 1 They say that the bathroom is the most dangerous room in the house, but when a beautiful, naked alien princess teleports into Rito Yuki's bathtub, it's a definite case of rub-a-dub-doom! Having no idea that the planet Deviluke even exists, Rito is completely unaware that touching a girl's breasts there is how they propose marriage. Consequently, due to some slippery tile and some extra-prominent female appendages, Rito's suddenly on his way to being a member of the royal family. Unfortunately, as hot as Lala is, this is one royal family no one wants to become a part of given that her father, King Deviluke, bears a suspicious resemblance to the devil! And then there's the little issue of the very nice human girl that Rito's already interested in, who's

A Year With the Contempo Template...

Image
Contempo In 2017 Contempo In 2018 A year has past since Blogger launched new templates. After  Selecting  the Cntempo Template  and living with it for a while, it's been a wild year, but, I managed to settle in reasonably well. The image for this post is a close-up of  Shiro from Deadman Wonderland . Over the past year, several updates were made to Angel's Anime Rating Guide . In 2017, the first change I made was to disable the featured post feature as in the case of my content, since the cover art that I use is not high resolution, the featured post image often appeared fuzzy. Among the other changes over the past year, were the addition of eight new gadgets which are explained briefly in this post and in greater detail in separate posts: Contempo in a Two-Column Format Pretty Dates for Contempo Display Newer Post Links in Contempo Provide the Missing Hamburger for Contempo Popular Posts in a Compact Format Random Posts in a Compact Format Surviving the Mo

Panty And Stocking With Garterbelt...

Image
Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt called for me and said "Buy Me", so I did... The Anarchy Sisters Panty and Stocking are two nasty angels who got booted from the pearly gates for being foul-mouthed bitches! Now they spend their days blowing up ghosts in the lecherous abyss between Heaven and Earth. Panty likes sex, Stocking likes sweets, their afro-sporting main man Garter Belt has a fetish we can't mention. Together, they're keeping the streets free of bodily fluids. Ghosts don't have a prayer against their panty pistols and stocking swords, and if this debaucherous duo can collect enough Heaven Coins, they just might get their halos back. They've got a slim chance in hell, but rolling commando is the best way to get lucky - especially with Panty and Stocking! Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt is very silly, but, was surprisingly a lot of fun to watch. The series follows the exploits of two disgraced angels who hunt ghosts as a means of atoning for th

Dears...

Image
Years ago, sometime after Niea invaded the Earth, DearS took up residence as well... Volume 1 One year ago, an alien spacecraft crashed into Tokyo Bay, leaving the entire crew stranded on Earth with no means of returning home. In no time, the aliens are granted Japanese citizenship and begin participating in a home-stay program with the local people in order to learn all about human culture. When one DearS goes astray and wanders into the life of an ordinary high school student named Takeya, the adventure begins and this DearS is about to learn things they don't teach you in school! Volume 2 Like Takeya, even Ren doesn't know that much about the DearS. This fact alone is enough of an insult to the DearS heritage to push Miu over the edge. Miu decides to take it upon herself to properly educate Ren in all that it means to be a DearS; much to Takeya's dismay. Then Takeya's world-traveling sister, Natsuki, stops by for a visit putting her wrestling moves on her ol

Corpse Princess...

Image
After watching Corpse Party , I decided to jump back into the undead fray and take the opportunity to watch Corpse Princess … Makina Hoshino is already dead, but she can't let go of this twisted world. She burned to death along with her entire family in a fire started by freaks that wouldn't stay buried. Makina knows she doesn't belong among the living, but that won't stop her from unleashing the full fury of her twin MAC-11 machine guns on the rotting remains of those who refuse to die. She's hell-bent on filling every empty grave she can find with the monsters that should be six feet under. Makina is a Shikabane Hime - a Corpse Princess - and it's her job to finish off the undead leftovers haunting the dark corners of a city that used to be safe. In Corpse Princess , Makina is a resurrected girl who hunts down other dead people that refuse to stay dead. Although, the term zombie isn't used in the series, what we have here is basically a never-ending mon

Corpse Party...

Image
Corpse Party promises good wholesome bloodshed, gore and depravity... The horrifying events that occurred on the unhallowed grounds of the Heavenly Host School were so gruesome and shocking that the entire school was razed in an attempt to wipe the events from memory. But, foolishly, a new high school, the Kisaragi Academy, was built in Heavenly Host's place, and all true evil needs is an invitation. So when a group of students innocently perform a charm intended to bind them as friends forever, the nightmarish evil is unleashed once again. Transported into a living hell where Heavenly Host still stands and undead horrors stalk the bloodstained halls, the students are now the prey in the most brutal test ever designed by inhuman minds. What follows isn't for the squeamish or weak of heart, as they are hunted down in a savage orgy of torture, murder, and insanity. Japan's most terrifying series of video games comes to gut-wrenching life as the spirits of the damned host
