Angry Birds 2...
Today, I saw the theatrical release of Angry Birds 2...
This particular foray into the Angry Birds saga, centers on Red who is still riding high on the success of the last movie and is feeling a bit insecure in this new movie as he has to share the spotlight with others including some of his arch rivals among the pigs. This is a classic tale of mismatched characters trying to work together to save their homes from a new threat. Angry Birds 2 is a welcome addition to the burgeoning franchise and was well worth the price of admission and the over-priced soda and popcorn. Overall, the theater experience was somewhat underwhelming, but, I enjoyed the movie nonetheless and will look forward to seeing Angry Birds 2 on DVD.
I really wanted to get out and see a movie, so, Mom and I headed over to the local theater to see Angry Birds 2. We arrived a bit early, but, as it turned out, we got there even before the theater opened for business. We wanted to catch the morning showing at 11:25am, but, the theater didn't open until 11:15am. It was a bit closer of a call than Mom and I would have liked. We actually missed the twenty minutes of commercials that are shown before the previews, but, we got to our seats just in time for the actual start of the previews. By the way, the upcoming Pixar feature, Onward, looks really, really good.Red, Chuck, Bomb and the rest of their feathered friends are surprised when a green pig suggests that they put aside their differences and unite to fight a common threat. Aggressive birds from an island covered in ice are planning to use an elaborate weapon to destroy the fowl and swine way of life. After picking their best and brightest, the birds and pigs come up with a scheme to infiltrate the island, deactivate the device and return to their respective paradises intact.
