Executioner And Her Way Of Life...
I had a look at Executioner And Her Way Of Life...
By the time Menou does finally catches the second traveler, Akari, and finds that she is incapable of being killed. After the failed assassination attempt, Menou decides to pretend to look after the traveler and escort her as they travel. During their time together, Menou gets to know Akari and isn't sensing malice in Akari and is beginning to have doubts about her mission in this instance. As they continue together, Menou's worldview begins to change. Meanwhile sinister forces move against them both.
There's some red ink here, but, not quite as much as I was expecting. There are no naughty bits to speak of. Getting close to people to murder them just rubbed me the wrong way from the start. Even if there's a reasonable justification for the actions of executioners, the whole conceit just didn't sit well with me and made the experience of watching the series a bit less enjoyable than I would prefer. Menou shows real character development and the world she lives in, is revealed to have more shades of gray, but, overall I wasn't as pleased with the series as I would like. I gave the Executioner And Her Way Of Life a 2 out 5.
What if there were too many overpowered people arriving in your world, leaving havoc and misery in their wake wherever they go. This is the problem Menou, an executioner has to deal with, when she finds that a noble house has used a banned summoning spell to bring in two more people. While she was able to find one, who had been granted the ability to simply wish anything out of existence, and kill him before he could use his power against the world, a second individual was being shielded by the aforementioned noble house. When interdimensional travelers from an otherworldly land known as Japan appear, death and destruction always follow. It's up to Executioners like Menou to exterminate the Lost Ones before they wreak havoc. When Menou encounters a Lost One named Akari, it's bloody business as usual. until Menou discovers Akari can cheat death. Even so, Menou has a job to do, and she is committed to her executioner's mission come hell or high water -- provided her newly stirring feelings don't get in the way.
