Elf Princess Rane...
Elf Princess Rane is notable for being an unfinished series...
Move over Indiana Jones! Here comes Go Takarada! He's brave! He's smart! He's handsome! But how many treasures can a high school student find in his own hometown? Well, that'll never stop our energetic hero from trying. His abundant enthusiasm does pay off one day when, while running away from a very aggravated priest whose shrine he has just trashed, he runs straight into an Elf Princess named Rane.According to Wikipedia...
Ignoring a language barrier of titanic proportions, Go starts tearing through the city trying to find the secret treasure that is foretold to appear. His treasure-hunting plans put the wealthy Yumenokata Foundation and the brave members of the Fire Department into a free-for-all melee of confusion, explosion, and intrigue. Meanwhile, in the middle of all the chaos, another elf named Leen appears before Mari, Go's neighbor and childhood friend.
Will Go ever realize how Mari truly feels about him? Will Mari ever notice how her father's right-hand man feels about her? How many sisters does Go have anyway? And will Leen ever remember what she came here to do? You may not find those answers in Elf Princess Rane, but with a cast of characters so outrageous that you'll be rolling on the floor in hysterics within seconds, who cares? Already a fan-favorite, this video is sure to be an instant hit!
The North American release contains a preview for a third OVA episode that was never produced; it's listed as an "evil preview."There are a few suggestive scenes in Elf Princess Rane, but, no naughty bits or blood shed. Elf Princess Rane was surprisingly a lot of fun to watch. I used to have the subtitled VHS version. Even with a fairly good rating, sadly, in the aftermath of the Ultimate Otaku Fall Cleanup, I decided not to keep it in my archive. I gave Elf Princess Rane a 3 out of 5.
