Hyper Police...
I've had a soft spot for cat girls ever since I saw Nuku Nuku, so, naturally, when Hyper Police called out to me and said "buy me", I bought the first couple of volumes...
Unfortunately, I lost interest in Hyper Police after the second volume. Hyper Police turned out to be more of a drama about a cat girl than I was hoping it would be. Even though I lost interest in the series after the second volume, I went ahead and purchased the third volume anyway because, way back in the misty dawn of time, there was no way to get detailed descriptions for the third volume from my other sources. Overall, Hyper Police wasn't a complete waste of time, but, I lost interest a third of the way through the series. I gave Hyper Police a 2 out of 5.
Skilled and deadly bounty hunter Natsuhime Sasawara, a cunning blend of human and futuristic demon cat, protects the laws of humans and monsters. After a tragic accident, Natsuhime is teamed up by the Police Company with Sakura, a Nine-Tail Fox striving to achieve new magical powers. Blast into the future with this fast paced combination of science fiction, cop thriller, monster mayhem, and comical fantasy, now available for the first time in the U.S.!Hyper Police has action, some red ink, but, no naughty bits. Back in the day, anime was typically released with just a handful of episodes per volume and the release would have been spread out over several months. So, occasionally, I would start enjoying a series and then, at some point, I would lose interest for whatever reason and stop purchasing the later volumes. Now, of course, the release strategy would call for releasing the entire series as one set.
