Years ago, I picked up the VHS version of Cosplay Encyclopedia...
In Cosplay Encyclopedia (as in costume play), follow Akemi Matsuzawa, as she ambushes costumed conventioneers and asks the really tough questions... How much did your costume cost? How long did it take to make? And, do your parents know what you do in your spare time? There are lots of nice costumes, lots of giggling girls, and some really shabby camera-work. Cosplay Encyclopedia is mildly interesting, but, not something I would go out of my way to have. Cosplay Encyclopedia might have been more enjoyable for me, being as cosplay-challenged as I happen to be, if I had some idea which characters I was looking at. I gave Cosplay Encyclopedia a 1 out of 5.
