Recently, I had the opportunity to stream the Oblivious Saint Can't Contain Her Power...
After Carolina's departure, her former county suffers all manner of difficulties that it had never had to endure before such as monster attacks and plagues. And, Flora suddenly finds her power diminished and is unable to attend to the current crisis. Meanwhile, equally strange events surround Carolina as she makes her way toward her new home county. After a while, it becomes clear that while Carolina has no affinity for magic herself, she has a different gift and, of course, her gift is overpowered.
3 Star:
There is a great deal of political intrigue as two princes in Carolina's new county are contending for the throne and the people are divided as to which prince to support with some people openly moving against the princes with acts of violence to support one over the other. Meanwhile, back in Carolina's former county, the leadership are suddenly aware that they may have acted rashly in encouraging Carolina to move away.
Tensions escalate and Flora determines that it's necessary to kill Carolina as she believes her sister to be the root of all evil in her life. Events continue to spiral out of control and reach a wonderful climax. The series is more melodramatic then I prefer, but, I enjoyed the Oblivious Saint Can't Contain Her Power nonetheless and gave it a 3 out of 5.
To say that Carolina and her sister, Flora, don't get along would be understating things quite a bit. As her kingdom's saint and with Carolina not having any affinity for magic, Flora, her mercilessly put Carolina down as useless at every opportunity. When presented with an opportunity to be married off to another kingdom, Carolina jumps at the chance to be away from her sister. With all of the abuse Carolina has suffered, it's no wonder that her self esteem is almost nonexistent.Overshadowed by her saintly sister Flora, plain Carolina seizes a chance to be useful by agreeing to political marriage with a prince rumored to be cruel. But the prince is nothing as expected -- he’s a gentleman, and Carolina feels valued for once in her life. As Carolina blossoms, she discovers a sense of self-worth and a mysterious power, while Flora’s perfect life back home starts to crumble.
