Farming Life In Another World...
I picked up the first season of Farming Life In Another World and streamed the second season...
Hiraku is surrounded by all of these apparently immensely powerful beings and they all know that he must be insanely powerful in his own right. But, it's not until a wyvern attacks the village and Hiraku takes down the legendary beast, that the girls around him begin to realize how overpowered he is. Since the wyvern is a creature of legend, the fact that Hiraku has managed to take it down so easily doesn't go unnoticed by the surrounding powers. Soon, representatives of the demons and the dragons show up. With demons and dragons snooping around, needless to say, Hiraku's life becomes more complicated. Newly appointed Mayor Hiraku, manages to calm tensions and come to an understanding with the demons and the dragons. Then, the beast people show up and Hiraku's harem grows even larger.
In the second season, the Gatekeeper Dragon advises that a lot of people have been displaced from their homes and are headed to the village, so, Hiraku decides to build a second village to accommodate them. When the people arrive, Hiraku discovers that due to a miscommunication on the dragon's part, the newly built village is entirely too small to accommodate the giant minotaurs and equally massive centaurs that show up. So, reluctantly, Hiraku decides to rebuild the second village for the minotaurs and build a third village with stable-like housing for the centaurs. The big event in the second season is the arrival of the Sun Castle and the dark menace that it represents.
The tone of Farming Life In Another World is very laid back and relaxed. There is some action, but, Hiraku and his retinue are so powerful that there isn't a need for giant set piece battles. Despite the suggestion that Hiraku must be a very busy man with so many women around, there are no naughty bits. There are a handful of ubiquitous bath scenes and a round of strip mahjong, but, aside from a bit of bare skin, there is no loss of modesty. And, aside from the occasional dead animal, soon to be meal, there's almost no red ink to speak of. I had a lot of fun with this series and gave Farming Life In Another World a 4 out of 5. I purchased the first season and streamed the second season.
I had originally streamed the first season and, later, when it became available, I purchased it. Farming Life In Another World follows the adventures of Hiraku as he is dumped into a foreboding and unforgiving forest with nothing but his magical tool that cab be anything simple that Hiraku might need. In the first season, Hiraku builds a simple house and befriends a couple of dog-like creatures. Soon afterwards, Hiraku has a decidedly unwelcome guest and the dogs proceed to mercilessly thrash the uninvited guest. After Hiraku get the dogs to settle down, he meets Lu, a vampire princess and, after some time passes, they become a couple. Soon after, Hiraku begins to build his harem with the angel, Tia. Then the elf girls show up and soon after, Flora, Lu's cousin and her horde of ogre maids and servants arrive. Not to be outdone, Tia brings in more angels and her own horde of lizard people. Hiraku quickly finds himself awash in a sea of girls. They all pitch in to expand Hiraku's humble settlement into a large and prosperous village.Season 1
Becoming a farmer in a fantasy world was supposed to make up for Hiraku Machio’s terrible previous life.
