My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered!...
I had the opportunity to see My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered!...
After leaving a trail of death in his wake, Takatou's abilities don't go unnoticed for very long and he begins to attract a lot of unwelcome attention. At this point, the series devolves into a monster of the week slugfest where Takatou mercilessly kills everyone in his path. Needless to say Sion and others with God-like powers are very concerned with this turn of events. Sion summons someone from Takatou's world that can explain his powers and a scientist appears. Upon hearing that they're in another world, the scientist is happy that Sion has apparently taken Takatou off his hands and offers humanity's thanks. Then, his phone warns him that he is away from his post and a few seconds later, the bomb in his head explodes, leaving Sion still clueless about Takatou, but, now covered in red ink.
It becomes apparent during the course of the series that Takatou is something quite different from everyone else. There are flashbacks to a research facility and whole lot of dead soldiers. Takatou was raised by a woman who was hired by the research facility and despite the obvious threat to her life that a young and innocent Takatou represented, she instilled in him from that early age, a certain tolerance for the lives of others which Takatou still tries to embody in his actions under trying circumstances. When Takatou kills someone, they just fall down dead. There's still a certain amount of red ink to be found. There are no naughty bits. Overall, despite the monster of the week tropes, I was still pleased with My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered and gave it a 3 out of 5.
When Yogiri Takatou and Tomochika Dannoura are transported into another world along with classmates, they seem to be left out when others are gifted with amazing superpowers and the chance to become Sages. Are they doomed to become dragon bait? Or could it be that they already have a few special abilities of their own from back home that no one is expecting? That would be extremely helpful, as there aren’t many people left they can trust, least of all their now power-mad former classmates and the Sages who supposedly defend this world in My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered!A bus full of students is suddenly transported to another world and a woman who identifies herself as Sage Sion appears before them. Sion quickly sorts the class into those with magical abilities, sage candidates, and those without. Sion and the newly christened sage candidates leave the other students to their fate, then a dragon shows up and attacks the bus. Takatou, having slept through the events up to the dragon attack, wakes up and casually tells the dragon to die and it does, right on the spot. This leaves Takatou and Damoura, another non-magically inclined student, to make their own way in this new world.
